Bob has used a similar setup to Andy Taylor mounting his Street Pilot on a Honda Blackbird. Bob is using one of Andy's 10mm threaded bar which runs down the headstock and has a large washer and a lock nut on the bottom. The other end of the bar then screws into the bottom of the adapter Andy created which can be tightened up using a 1/2" spanner on the hex. The top was then tapped out to take the standard RAM 1" ball.
